‘Broad Band’ Feat. Lucy Lockwood

Join us for a three course meal accompanied by Jazz from ‘Broad Band’  featuring the wonderful Lucy Lockwood on vocals.

Lucy is a vibrant and exuberant Jazz and Blues vocalist.

Working mainly with Standards, Traditional Jazz and the American Songbook, Lucy has a special focus on scat vocal improvisation, with an attack that doesn’t shy into a breathy corner.

Lucy is inspired by those who work with their voice as instrument – and takes cues from male blues shouters and horn instrumentalists as much as the smooth tones of the female leading lights . A full palette of sound that braves the risk of promoting full expression over twee standards of ‘pretty’ sound.
