“Our foodhall is a modern version of traditional European delicatessen.”

News Flash!

Our foodhall at Delifonseca Dockside is a modern version of the traditional European delicatessen – with a twist of farm shop added in for good measure! Our full service cheese, charcuterie and antipasta and salad counters allow you to select as little or as much as you need. We’re also proud to have Chef Claire Lara (Winner of Masterchef ‘The Professionals’ 2010) baking in-house so our cake counter is usually heaving with all sorts of delicious take-home desserts.

We stock our shelves with the best produce from across the world, including local, regional, British and European. Cooks of any level can rely on us for quality store cupboard essentials with known provenance often made traditionally by small independent producers. Also check out our wine and specialist spirit selection to find the perfect drink to pair with your meal. Our knowledgeable and passionate staff will assist you in finding the right product for your needs.

In addition we are proud to host Edge & Sons award winning butchers in our in-house concession.  A Wirral family firm since 1844, Edge Butchers don’t just specialise in rare breeds they are a rare breed themselves. One of only nine remaining British butchers that have in-house slaughterhouse facilities; their traditional methods and attitude enable them to specialises in supplying  the very best meat from local, free range, British, native and rare breed livestock. The meat they sell is great tasting, locally sourced, traditionally bred, naturally fed & farmed, compassionately handled, expertly butchered and then appropriately hung and matured. Having such quality of produce and expert advice and site is a great privilege.

Open daily 8am to 9pm. Except Sundays when Dockside gets a lie-in and only opens from 9:30am to 5:30pm.

The original Delifonseca on Stanley St has been downsized and converted into the ‘Downstairs’ wine bar with a mini deli counter for take-out lunches and eat-in deli nibbles. To all of you who may have been as fond of the original deli shop as we were, we apologise for its demise but once the foodhall at Delifonseca Dockside opened all the serious shoppers went there. So with regret instead we have created the best wine bar in town. Somewhere to drink great drinks wines, cocktails, beers or coffees whatever the time of day. Where the setting is vintage cool and the service paramount.
