24.06.07 Best Pastrami Sandwich in town

Yo, New York ain't got nothing on us! Pastrami on Rye, what a classic sandwich.  For those not in the know Pastrami is peppered tender brisket beef and is highly popular in the states.  For obvious yummy reasons it's becoming just as sought after in Liverpool!  Delifonseca's delicious Pastrami on fresh Rye bread with gherkin and Moffats Mustard has been chosen by Liverpool Confidential as the best in the city.  Come pick one up from our sandwich section in the Delicatessen or you can order our hot version upstairs in the restaurant.  If you fancy having a go at making one at home, you can purchase a loaf of Rye bread, a jar of Moffats Mustard and some peppered Pastrami cut just for you!

8.02.07 "Purple Love Week" @ Delifonseca

Hooray!  An outbreak of Purple Love is about to hit Delifonseca just as Valentine's Day turns everywhere else all red and saucy.  What is it I hear you ask.  Well it's Britains largest co-ordinated tasting event taking place between 10th - 17th February.

At Delifonseca we are looking forward to jumping onboard and hope you will too.  We'll be having tastings every day of various produce and also running a Purple Recipe competition. 

All you need to do is enter your Purple recipe by the close of business on 17th February, remember it has to be purple.  So if you have a recipe with beetroot, or damson, or both in it then lets us know and we'll decide if it purple enough to go on our board and be served to our customers.  You'll also win a meal for 2 in the restaurant were you'll be able to see your own dish!
