SOUPS  

We are known for our fresh soups and have two available each day one of which is always vegetarian. The following:  

Beetroot & Orange; Tomato and basil; Spiced honey roasted parsnip; Pea, asparagus and mint

Gazpacho; Chicken, lemon, leek and herb; Hot and sour beef; Thai chicken and vegetable

Minestrone; Chorizo and bean; Pea and ham; Cock-a-leekie; Cullen Skink; Morroccan lamb and chickpea ....... and many more 

MAINS (Prices range from £8 - £12)  

  • Baked marrow with a nut and herb stuffing served with a fresh herb salad (vegan)
  • Apricot & chickpea tagine served with roasted vegetable couscous with crumbled feta cheese (V)
  • Delifonseca 'signature' lentil and potato moussaka (V)

·         Spinakopitta- spinach & feta filo pasty with a tomato, leek and lemon rice and dressed leaves (V)                                                              

  • Wild rice patties served with roasted summer ragout (V)

·         Herby fishcakes served with cherry tomato chutney, chunky chips and dressed leaves  

·         Roast fillet of hake topped with sun blushed tomato, anchovy and olive tapenade served with chunky chips and dressed leaves 

·         Baked fillet of sea trout served with asparagus & potato cake, and a saffron cream sauce

 

  • Sausages & colcannon mash served with onion gravy made with Cains Raisin beer 
  • Chicken (free-range) risotto with mushroom, leek & fennel

·         Filé gumbo - traditional Cajun spicy stew of ham, sausage, chicken and okra

  • Shin of Welsh Black Beef braised in Wapping 'Smoked Porter' and onions, served with horseradish mash and glazed carrots
  • Roast leg of Cumbrian Herdwick mutton with caper sauce served with sage & onion potato hot pot.
  • Deluxe Shepherd Pie - chunks of Cumbrian Herdwick lamb with root vegetables topped with leeky mash
  • Slow-roasted belly pork with lentejas (traditional Spanish chorizo, morcilla and lentil stew)
  • Casserole of duck, lentils and vegetables with pomegranate syrup, quince paste and rice 
  • Mutton & spinach curry (Cumbrian Herdwick mutton), served with spicy dahl, basmati rice
  • Deluxe Catalan lasagne with minced pork, chorizo and morcilla
